Lloyd shakes Malos' hand, and after a few moments, he realizes that the smile he's keeping on his face is a little more genuine now. Malos has a kind of easy-going atmosphere about him when he's not about to kick a solicitor's ass, so it's a lot easier to relax around him. His smirk is kind, too, and it's hard to be intimidated by anyone who calls themselves your grandpa.
"Actually - maybe? Have you ever heard of a girl named Sheena Fujibayashi?" Lloyd asks. He's putting his guess to no, Malos has no clue, but maybe asking around won't be a terrible idea at this point. "She's a friend of mine, I uh - I came here to find her."
Lloyd pauses, putting his hands in his lap, looking away from Malos. "And, um. You don't have to answer this one, but - if the last time you saw him - the other me, I mean - was five years ago... How old am I supposed to be in this world? And my mom, Anna, is she here?"
He plays with the bottoms of his suspenders, the smile fading into something smaller, more hesitant. Two years ago, if someone had told him that his mother was still alive in any form and that he'd maybe one day get to properly meet her, he would have fist pumped and gone on a journey to find her. As it stands, he's journeyed to save two worlds and his best friends, and he's made so many mistakes, carries so many regrets he's not sure he'll ever properly put at rest. He's tired, to be honest, but more than that, he doesn't know if he'll be the son Anna had wanted him to be at the end of it all.
What will this Anna think if she meets him?
